Key Account Sales Manager

We are seeking a Key Account Sales Manager to grow relationships, profitability, and business with two of the nation’s largest distributors, UNFI and SpartanNash. This opportunity is with a fast-growing, quality-driven food manufacturer, known for leadership in fresh and perishable categories. They are making strategic investments in their sales team to strengthen customer relationships and drive continued growth. This is a remote position with about 20% travel, ideal for someone located near Grand Rapids, MI (within an hour’s drive).

What You’ll Do

  • Build and grow relationships with distributor and broker partners to deliver regional business plans.
  • Promote a strong sales culture and provide product and marketing updates to drive results.
  • Lead distributor meetings, present new products, and support promotional initiatives.
  • Maintain regular communication and account visits to optimize distribution and activation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate samples and trade show participation.
  • Represent the brand at key events and support internal sales initiatives as needed.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Proven sales experience in food or beverage, with broker and key account management.
  • Strong understanding of distributor management and joint business planning.
  • Background in food manufacturing; UNFI or SpartanNash experience preferred.
  • Excellent relationship, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with distributor systems a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
