Simply Good Foods is seeking a Food Scientist that will create
and develop new concepts for our exciting CPG brands! This
position is responsible for managing projects, building strong
partnerships, collaborating with department heads, and providing
technical support to our manufacturing partners.
Some qualifications include:
* Bachelor’s degree in food science, engineering, or chemistry is
required.
* Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in CPG R&D within the food
industry.
* Experience in confectionery R&D is highly desired.
* Strong product development and project management skills
utilizing data and proving solving capabilities.
* Experience in plant or CoMan environment, required.
* Proven experience in working cross-functionally with other
departments, as well as collaborating within the R&D team.
* Understanding of regulatory and food safety requirements.
* Ability to recognize, analyze, and develop solutions and
initiate problem-solving actions.
* Ability to operate food bench equipment, analytical/Food Lab
tools, and pilot plant equipment.
* Knowledge or willingness to learn about Shakes, Bakery, Sweet
or Savory Snacks, a plus.
* Travel is required (25%), up to 40% as needed. This is an
onsite role, based in Broomfield, CO.
The projected base salary for this role is $75k – $95k plus 5%
