A regional complex dairy manufacturing cooperative is seeking a proven Director of Quality reporting into the VP of Manufacturing to lead all quality, regulatory, and food safety functions as they continue to scale their business. With over $1billion in annual sales they produce cheese, whey derivatives, lactose, dry powders, and infant-formula-grade ingredients.
In this high visibility role, you will be a key member of the plant leadership team collaborating with operations, maintenance, and engineering to foster a proactive, accountable culture focused on prevention, data-driven decision-making, and long-term sustainability. To be part of this successful, passionate company, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or closely related field required
- Progressive experience in food, dairy, or ingredient manufacturing, with at least 5–7 years in leadership roles in Quality, Food Safety, or Regulatory Compliance
- Multi-plant experience
- FSMA/PCQI, SQF Practitioner, and HACCP certification required; Halal, Kosher, or additional GFSI scheme experience a plus
- Proven track record leading audits, CAPA programs, and cross-functional teams in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
- Experience with domestic and international customers
- Strong experience in dry dairy ingredients and/or infant formula-grade environments strongly preferred
